Brendan Baker talks to Blackman's Cycle in Emmaus, PA, about an interesting idea for selling a very rare motorcycle. Chris Line, marketing director for the dealerships along with his CFO have made a special token called an NFT (non fungible token) to go along with the sale of a rare Aprilia XTrenta 1100 superbike. The bike is #95 of 100 and the token was specially designed to authenticate the sale and ownership of the bike for the new owner.
Brendan Baker is the editor-in-chief of Powersports Business magazine. While he is new to PSB, having joined the team in March of 2023, he is not new to the industry. Brendan was the editor of another B2B powersports title for five years, then he was named editor-at-large. He was also an editor of automotive titles and was a technical editor. He has an automotive background having grown up in an auto parts store and started racing at 5-years-old. He’s been a race driver and crew chief and worked on professional racing teams for several years before turning his attention to publishing. He has been a B2B editor since 1998. Brendan lives in Akron, Ohio with his wife and two dogs.
Madelyn is a 2022 graduate of Arkansas Tech University in Russellville, Arkansas. Following her graduation, she joined the PSB team in June of 2022. Like many of us, she has grown up in the industry and spent much of her childhood riding four-wheelers on trails just outside of her hometown. Madelyn especially enjoys listening to dealership owners and employees as they share their industry experiences and wisdom, then writing feature stories about these professionals so others can learn from them too.
